口 (kou3: mouth) and (clothes bottom of 衣)
Note that in this character, the top part of the 衣 “gown” radical has been corrupted into 土 “earth”. 袁 yuan2 is nevertheless, classified in traditional dictionaries under the 衣 “gown” radical and the relation of its meaning to “gown” is clear enough.
