進撃の巨人 Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) is a manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The series was first serialized on September 9, 2009, and has been collected into 14 tankōbon volumes as of August 8, 2014. The anime adaptation aired between April and September 2013 and gained a huge following. A live action film adaptation is also in production and set to premiere in 2015
